I, myself, have friends from other races, and I feel that having friends of another race is very important. In this way not only can we enlarge our wide social circle, we can also know and understand about each race, and be able to behave appropriately when together with this race. If one does not know the religious rules of a race, we might end up doing something disrespectful against their race unintentionally in front of them. Hence, in order not to cause such conflicts, we must also try our best to learn about other races' religion as well.
I also feel that some people, though racist at heart, should not openly state that he dislikes certain races, or even try to be rude to them. Courtesy always comes first. Once, I saw someone asking in front of a Malay food store, "Do you sell pork?" I feel that that is very disrespectful and insolent, as the Malays could not eat pork, it was wrong to ask from a Malay pork. We might end up hurting other races or religion. Therefore, we must be mindful about what we say in front of different races too.
